Training week 05, AKBAN Ninjutsu

Fifth week of 2019-2020 training year

This week's training topics are emotion regulation during an attack with the help of the diagonal and changing heights. We will do this with the help of the kata from the first layer (the Shodan layer) of Koto ryu, one of the schools that are the foundation of the AKBAN syllabus. This school is characterized by a direct approach, medium and high Levels of violence, relatively small number of basic blows and kicks and their clever combination with throwing to the ground and neutralizing an opponent. We will be trying to preserve the sensitivity and flow we have learned in previous weeks.

  • The Methodical pyramid is the AKBAN method of designing training to meet modern challenges while preserving the immense Ninjutsu Kata syllabus tradition.
  • This specific program starts in September 2019 and concludes in August 2020. AKBAN has been teaching like this since 1986.

General AKBAN background

AKBAN teaches Ninjutsu as a way of life. Way of life means training for decades. This timespan ushers us to learn correct movement, correct attitude and developing and maintaining superb fitness. In addition, we practically learn Detant emotion regulation with the inner discipline that grows in training.
