Kasumigake no kata, Chuden Gata level, Kukishin Ryu

Kasumigake (霞掛), (Fog hanging), (קסומי גקה), is a Kata. This form is part of the Kukishin ryu Dakentaijutsu (九鬼神流打拳体術) koryu, belonging to the Chuden gata level.

Kasumi gake is a part of the syllabus of the Takamatsu den schools of Ninjutsu: Bujinkan, Jinenkan, AKBAN.

Description of Kasumi gake

Uke in Seigan stance, Tori in Shizen tai stance. Uke attacks with a right tsuki punch and a right Sokugyaku geri. Tori uses the 2nd timing, blocks Jodan yuke and then blocks the kick with a right fudo ken while moving to the side. Tori then attacks with a right ura ken to uke's head while grabbing uke's right wrist. Grabs uke's elbow with right hand and pulls uke with kuzushi to uke's front. When uke recoils back, tori returns and throws uke with seoe arm lock.
