Koho tombogaeri (סלטה לאחור, קוהו טומבוגארי, מול יריב) is a back Ninjutsu somersault against an opponent.

Acrobatics in Ninjutsu / Taijutsu improve spatial orientation. Somersaults, climbs, wall running, break falls and related techniques are practiced in order to improve the practitioners three dimensional sensitivity and his reaction to unexpected movements and falls.

Description of Back somersault against an opponent

The ability to jump with the feet to the height of the sternum is a prerequisite of the back somersault. When jumping the knees must be tucked in toward the chest to make the rotation faster. The hands help in gathering momentum.
