backward tai sabaki over rough terrain, Ushiro aruki naname (כיצד לבצע טאי סבאקי לאחור בשטח, ננמה אושירו טובי סבאקי - נינג'יטסו) is an evasion and movement technique in Ninjutsu used to move backwards while facing the opponent.

Description of backwards Ninjutsu stepping over rough terrain

While facing the opponent the practitioner lifts his rear leg to a height of at least twice of the obstacles in the area he is working at. This allows for better sensitivity and prevents falling while retreating. While creating distance from the opponent the body does not change front and rear legs.
