Uryū, 雨龍, rain dragon, אוריו, is a kata that forms part of the Ten no kata level of Fudo Ryu Daken Tai Jutsu.


Description of Uryu kata henka

uke walks behind tori and tries to grab tori in a nelson lock, tori grabs uke's right wrist with his right hand and ducks under the right arm with tai sabaki to the back right and to the left, then grabs uke's right elbow, performs a zenpo kaiten front roll then turns uke on his stomach and lock the right shoulder and applies presure.

Second variation (henka) of Uryu

uke' walks behind tori and tries to grab tori in a nelson lock, tori grabs uke's right wrist with his right hand and ducks under the right arm with tai sabaki to the back right and to the left, then grabs uke's right elbow, takes down uke on his stomach, lock the right shoulder and Applies presure.
