Video of heel kick to chin

Ago kin geri (בעיטת עקב לסנטר) is a Ninjutsu short distance high kick to the mandible using the heel, directed to the chin. The kick is performed similarly to the push kick and if hits the chin it will knock an opponent to the ground.

Description of high chin kick

To perform this kick properly one raises the back knee and releases the leg toward the opponent with the heel impacting his chin. The force of the kick comes from the pelvis and straightening of the knee - which should be sent forward along with the leg. The kick's force makes it quite quick and since it is meant to hit the face and not the torso it is difficult to block.

This technique is part of Budo Ninjutsu Grade requirements syllabus Green belt grade requirements and of Black Belt grade requirements.
