This week there will not be an ECR group on Friday.
During the week there will be sessions in all the AKBAN dojos. One of the veterans instructors will substitute for me on Sunday because I will be returning from the Hamburg seminar.
In the dojos we will weave inside the flow patterns we practiced these weeks sequences and throws from Takagi Yoshin Ryu (thanks to Yoav and Zvica).
We got used to think that giving is the result of love, for to that which a man loves, he gives. But the second Theory is this, that a man loves the fruit of his deeds, for he feels a part of his self in them – if it is a son he fathered or trained, or an animal he raised, or a seedling he planted, or even an inanimate object, like a house he built, – there he is, attached to the fruits of his labor in love, for he finds himself in them.
This week we will not have a Combat Research session on Friday.
In all the groups we will continue to hone the techniques toward the Sixth Colloquium in May the 1st.
In the intermediate groups we will work the basic Kihon for 2nd Kyu. In the Combat KAta groups we will continue exploring the interactions between Daken and Nagare.
Next week, 29.3.2015, Sunday, I will be in Ninjutsu Akademie Hamburg, Germany for an intensive seminar about Ninjutsu Randori. Here’s a link to the FB event.
“My fear is with the onset of mainstream interest in extreme sports that diversity will be subdued and eventually snubbed out within our great outdoor community,” says Potter. “Shouldn’t we question when the leaders of our community try to manipulate our culture into a monocrop?”
There will not be a “24” event this week.
Also, because of the election, there will not be a session on Tuesday, on election day.
At Thursday we will have an extended session in Tel Aviv dojo.
At Friday we are going to have a ECR session in Tel Aviv.
In all the groups we will be working on Takagi and Fudo Kata to prepare for the Sixth Colloquium.
This week we will not have a session on Friday.
In the dojo we will expand our practice of Nagare (流れ) and will do it through moving the Uke in several axes.
Thus, we are preparing the background for the 6th international colloquium in May the 1st.
In the COmbat Kata groups we will combine rhythm changes of the Uchikomi and Daken with the Nagare and see how these show in Fudo and Takagi kata.
Please bring punching gloves even for the Nagare sessions.
Fear is the mind killer.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
