We are emphasizing street situations and so we will dive deeper into intermediate arm locks, throws and Koto ryu kata. Both the first and the second session will include a rehearsal of the multiple opponents’ kata.
We are going to train with short striking distances, clinch and elbow work. At the end of the session we will repeat the distance work and combos from last week.
The session will start with Ninjutsu kamae followed by the himum. We finish the session with full contact Randori.
A video summery of this session will be uploaded to Ninjutsu training in video category in the AKBAn wiki.
After working with specific retreat and attack sabaki combos we will use one of these to get into the reverse gi grip.
From the reverse gi grip we will go over 3 throws and locks. Here is the learning video of the uchicomi for the reverse grip seoe.
We will be continuing our study with an advanced set of Kicking-striking-sabaki combos and integrate them into randori routines. Both training sessions, beginners and veterans, will work with this syllabus. It’s a fluid and fun session, but be prepared with your boxing gloves, we’re going to work hard.
We will use the short stick for learning two Muto dori kata. More time will be allotted this session for intermediate sabaki geri combos and versions of kata guruma.
