I really do not know of a speedy path to get rid of these vices. On the other hand I know longer paths, ones that do not meander and dispair, but make the correction pragmatic. These are different ways, and each one should choose his own.
I am not a great believer in this kind of introspection, list making or in inner psychological witch hunt. This method might be suitable for some, but my experience showed that it does not uplift a person but drives him to dispair, and at the end does more harm then good.
Not only that, it is philosophically difficult, because there is no Archimedean point to divide the causes of the actions – whether from inner calling or from one’s pride and vanity.
I suggest another way. When a person does good things it is better not to introspect too much whether the motives are this or that.
We will start today at 18:30 with Jab-cross combos and a drill down of Zenpo Kaiten. Later we will explore the many possibilities of the outside Jodan Yuke block and compare them to the accuracy and distancing needed for the inside Jodan Yuke. Repeating the Waki Gatame into Ura Oni Kudaki will conclude te first session.
At the second, veterans’s session, we will re-learn the basic ballistic approach to short stick syllabus in AKBAN and conclude, if time will suffice, with Ninjutsu Muto dori primer.
Please pay attention tomorrow to the news on this site concerning the “24” this Thursday.
We are back again at Hayarkon St. 294. Starting at 18:00 we will devote the first session to Ushiro Sabaki and it’s uses in Fudo Ryu kata and the inside range of the opponent’s attack.
The second session will deal with Muto dori against weapons and repeating the basic short stick routines.
Please pay attention and read Tuesday morning news about the “24”.
We start at 19:00 with application of Hicho no kamae moto gata. We will continue to train in the inside range of the Tsuki attack and work on aggressive combinations that correspond to Kukishinden Ryu higher levels.
Using the elbow and shoulder joint locks we learned last week we will continue to integrate them with our grappling randory. With the variable distance reaction we will use the Tai otoshi throw as an option against the opponent resisting an arm lock.
