We just spent the last two years honing our sabaki skills and learning basic Ninjutsu striking and kick combos.
Today we will continue on merging these techniques together using several Gyokko ryu kata as a hub.
The way I experienced it, Tai sabaki and striking skills, no matter how efficient and strong, are not good enough in Randori. What binds distancing punches and kicks together are instincts and reaction patterns that are practiced over and over.
I can compare the method I am using now with the method I was using several years ago and see the results in the sparring sessions.
