Zanshin
From AKBAN-wiki, the Martial Arts Database
Zan·shin (Japanese: 残心) is a martial art term used in Japanese martial arts, referring to a state of awareness - a state of relaxed alertness. The literal translation is remaining mind.
In Budo Ninjutsu this refers to the actual practice and body posture. At the beginning years a practitioner is reminded to maintain body posture indicating alertness to opponent and surrounding conditions. Years later this mentally alert and clear state flows into regular life outside the dojo.
At the first twenty years, how ever, we practice Zanshin using the body and the Budo Ninjutsu postures.
