Background

This technique is not a subtle one and usually requires force for it to achieve its purpose.

Description of the technique

This technique is performed by placing a leg between the opponent's legs- then sweeping the leg opposite to the one which was placed (right leg behind the opponent's left leg and vice versa). The sweep is performed while pushing the opponent downwards and sideways towards the same leg with the hands - thus shifting his weight to a position in which he cannot support it- and so he falls backwards.

Summary

This is a Judo throw that is classified as a foot throwing technique.
