Background of Oh gyaku
This Kata is part of the Koto Ryu koryu, It belongs to the Shoden level.
Description of Oh gyaku
Uke holds Tori in kumi uchi and attempts a throw (koshi nage). Tori lowers body and steps back with left foot. Tori strikes into attacker's right side of body above hip (ura shichibatsu) with a left boshi ken. Tori pivots striking with right nio ken to right butsumetsu.
