Summary

This is a Judo throw that is classified as a foot throwing technique.

Background

This technique is used while stepping backwards and sweeping the opponent's stepping leg. Precise timing is of the outmost importance in this technique- as trying to sweep before the leg moves would be useless as would trying after the foot has landed on the ground.

Description of the technique

While stepping backwards time the opponent's steps and when his leg is still in motion and has not landed on the ground sweep it from its outer side (opponent's right leg with the left and vice versa). While sweeping the leg pull the opponent by the elbow (of the same side)with one hand- and push him backwards and sideways with the other.
