Background of Juji gatame
The juji-gatame (十字固) literally: "cross armlock". The wrestling term for the technique is "cross arm breaker".
Description of Juji gatame
The attacker grabs the wrist of the opponent. One of the attacker's legs goes across the opponent's chest, The other on the opponent's face or neck. The arm is being held between the thighs, with the elbow pointing against the thigh or hips. By clinching the opponent's wrist to the attacker's chest, the attacker can hyper extend the opponent's arm and break the elbow. The attacker can apply pressure on the elbow joint by arching the hips.
