Background
Elbow to chin technique is a very useful attack one in close range. The strike can be very hard to block as it is unseen from that range. Striking the chin from below does not necessarily mean a knockout, but can serve as a mid punch in a combination of strikes.
Description of the technique
The entire body gives the elbow strike its power: the step forward, the twist of the torso and of course the momentum and speed of the elbow. Care must be taken to guard the face with the other hand protecting from the opponent's hook.
