By Yossi Sheriff

Mondo, 問答, (מונדו), is an exchange of perspectives, a Zen question and answer dialog, between teacher and student aimed to present the teacher's point of view and explain the student the purpose of the action patterns in the student's practice. The list of Mondo subjects in AKBAN is summed up on the "Quotes" page.

It is a common saying in the AKBAN Academy that may have originated by Jigoro Kano, the founder of modern Judo: "Proper training in martial art should include the three pillars: Kata, Mondo and Randori.
