At the first session this Wednesday we will go over the extensive kick’s syllabus we are using in street situations. The large variety of Geri and Daken allows us to instinctively choose a technique according to the confrontation’s level of violence and expands our repertoire beyond highly injurious techniques.
At the second, veteran’s session we will work our way through Gyokko ryu’s kata we are well versed in and see some implementations of Nagare at the higher levels.
The relevant techniques change not only according to the opponent, but in conjunction to the many variables a real combat presents.
This is why many times the weakest technique, the lower level of violence, is the best tactics.
This Monday we will continue our effort from last week’s training and expand from the Ganseki throw we worked into other High and Medium level of violence techniques.
Niradin is a deep movement system that enhances the combat perspective of the Ninjutsu in AKBAN. We practice every Friday at Gan Ha-Atzmaut hill, on the northern side, above the sea shore. These sessions are opened to all AKBAN members.
We missed one training session this week because of municipal elections, so we’ll try to concisely work a whole week into one, longer, session this Thursday.
Using a dojo with hard floors improved Ukemi to such an extent that we can now explore Ganseki Nage in conjunction with different ranges and ballistics. The common counters to a resisting opponent and also some advanced applications interest me and so we will go into these too.
Because I do not want us to loose the momentum we now have in working Traditional kata full speed with punching gloves, please bring your gloves and a water bottle.
The sessions will start with kamae followed by the himum. The session ends with Randori.
I upload selected Ninjutsu lessons to the Ninjutsu training category at the AKBAN wiki.
Sorry friends, we have to cancel the training session this Tuesday, 22.10.2013, because the municipality has taken control of our dojo and erected polling stations there.
I got informed only yesterday and tried to find a substitute dojo, to no avail.
You are invited to the training session today (Monday). We are going to have a longer (2.5 hours) session this Thursday to make up for lost techniques and time.
