wiki edit problemRavain

I ain't able to edit any wiki pages with tags like these:
"is part of Budo Ninjutsu Grade requirements syllabus::Yellow belt | Yellow belt grade requirements"
, if i remove the tag all works fine.
I tried with 3 different browser but all it does is just saying "waiting for www.akban.org" when i klick save or preview.
Anybody else got that problem or knows how to solve it?

Welcome, friends in martial arts.
This board is fairly new, I just started it today, 12th February, 2008. In the Hebrew section of our site we have a crowded forum full of our practicing members.

So we did not hurry to build another forum, but the growing number of viewers from all over the world caused us to rethink.

I guess that at the beginning it will be a strange forum. In a web site with over 10000 pages of content many will probably get in here, read my post and carry on, but some, maybe even you, will feel free to express their thoughts and questions here. Please do.

We will read this forum every day and if you post here we will try to answer to the best of our knowledge and courtesy. I will.

How can one start training in Budo Ninjutsu?Shimi

Because it take more then 13 years to become an instructor, Akban is not exactly a McDojo. And by the time one finishes the obligatory preparation one is totally totally poor, so one can not even go to the USA for a seminar.

Well, you can come and live in Israel.
I guess it's not worth the effort

Dear friendYossi

Training for many years in martial arts demands not only the dedication and will you already show, but a serious amount of real life management - Having a job, earning enough to pay for food, medical bills and rent.

So veterans in our school juggle many hats, parenthood, work, etc. and then add training in a dojo to their life, they learn to be patient and compromise.

It takes an ongoing effort.

Maybe you could use your dedication to hone these adult skills of compromise and start training nearer to the place you live.

I learned of a good Ninjutsu school that is under Jinenkan and is not affiliated with Akban.

maybe your right....though i dont really feel that way....i have very little in the way of responsibilities......especially in the kids aspect.......for many many years now.....i have wanted to study the art of ninjutsu.....more than ANYTHING ever.....though its not easy to find a place to study.......and teaching myself is not quite preferable....but better than nothing.......ive went to the website you so kindly provided me with....though....at the risk of sounding like im just bitching.....there dojo is in Mahopac....which is about five hours away from where i live.....i guess your right though.....i will just have to practice patience.....and try to find one closer....though the task is an arduous one.....ill never quit...untill i succeed.....by the way.....i love this site.....it is most wonderful.....useful as well...soo thank you for your words of encouragement......and for your guidance.....

Fitness tablesChunk

Hi everyone, I´m a new user but would like to thank you all for the great work you´ve put into this site. It shows some good research and dedication.

As a quick observation that may help users in the future I think many of the fitness tables should have a .PDF link or printable version.

Some of the tables get cut off on my browser by the google ads, and also it's more comfortable to have the table on paper so you can attach it to your calendar. Helps remind you to train!

We are having huge traffic of visitors, but you're almost the first to comment on something we are working on.

The fitness tables in the English section of the Akban web site are part of our project. It took more then fifteen years to collect the data to assemble them and we are currently doing just what you suggested.

Since the effort goes to the martial arts encyclopedia and the fact that this site is multilingual, we guess that the PDF will be ready in two months.

It takes so long because we newly integrated all the data of the last three years and added tables for older people (some of us are slowly aging

) and also correct images for weight training, marathon and ultra marathon tables.

You'll be able to see the PDF and the updates in the middle of May.

Take care and please train only after you get checked by a sport M.D.
