A New Book - Lectures by Tengu
By Yossi Sheriff
After a long wait, probably over one thousand five hundred years, a translated English version of the important and cool book by Issai Chozanshi (or as we in AKBAN call him – I.) has been published.
In the book you can read lectures by a Tengu (or as we call him – T.), the mythological demon who began teaching of Ninjutsu, and to whom we owe our kata.
Not many martial arts pride themselves with the fact that their prime teacher is a crow-like demon – we do – what other choice do we have.

The book, by the way, is serious and important, and should join the bookshelf of every Akbanaut, which should already include “Hagakure”, “Go Rin No Shu”, and, of course, “Foot on the path” and “Tree climbing for pedestrians”.
The Demon’s Sermon on the Martial Arts

This book is probably the most important book I have bought in a very long time. Short, simple and too the point but, trust me you just can’t blow thru this one in an evening. Just sit down, relax and enjoy. Take you time and let the answers come to you in their natural way. Remember “forced enlightenment is false enlightenment”. Worth every penny and more if you ask me.August 29th 2007
