Added to the Akban-wiki, the martial arts and fitness encyclopedia are most of the weapon kata of Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō-ryū.

A new Traditional weapons portal is already on the Akban-wiki and includes, Seitei gata, Katori and Budo Ninjutsu. We also started to document western sword techniques, in that same portal.

Have fun exploring our growing Martial arts database.

Kaltura, the new guys on the web video applications, recently partnered with the Wikimedia Foundation to provide collaborative video functionality to Wikipedia's 207 Million unique visitors.
We are really glad they picked our project - The Akban-wiki martial arts encyclopedia - as a featured costumer and partner.

Kaltura lets users edit video online from a variety of sources to create informative new videos from existing ones. This correlates perfectly with our community wiki because Kaltura allows wiki editing and history of user's edits.

We have been integrating and working out minor early bugs in the Kaltura application and we can present some modest results.

Friday, March the 7th, was the scenario for another ultra marathon, the Megido Ultra Marathon. Two Akban veterans finished, in less then 7 hours, the 60 Kilometers run.
Well Done.

The combat savvy and experienced community of AKBAN has opened up its videos and knowledge for all martial arts styles, Ninjutsu and Budo Taijutsu included.

Martial arts techniques, hundreds of throws, kicks and punches plus weapon kata are arranged in an easy order, for you to learn and be a better fighter.

Effective and accurate training in martial arts is our goal. Even though we think it is not recommended to learn online exclusively, our immense, free, AKBAN-wiki can add to your practice and give better, more effective skills in self defense and martial arts.

Training in Ninjutsu and other martial arts styles for many years has taught us this secret Ninja lore, we know: "There is no substitute for a qualified teacher and a Dojo." And we know this too: "Only by continually learning, practicing and exchanging we can be better human beings, better warriors."

Use this as a reference to gauge your own performance, or simply take a look at the foundations of a style different from your own.

Care to join and tour with us? You are most welcomed, our friend in martial arts.
